How it's made

Every CASSIENE set is sewn in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, after it's ordered.

We design each set ourselves: the colors, the cut, and how the two outfits work together. A small workshop cuts and sews every piece from our own patterns, stitches the swans and any names, and packs each set into its box. We check every batch in person before it leaves.

The fabrics are cotton (brushed cotton, twill, piqué and poplin) and, for Slow Dance, polyester velvet. Each batch's fabric is bought in one lot, so the two outfits in a set match. We ask our fabric sellers where their cotton comes from and keep the records.

Nothing is made until it's sold, so there's no pile of unsold stock to discount or throw away. When a batch is ready, it's flown to our warehouse in the US and posted to you from there.
